A double-page spread created for
Sydsvenskan. In an unusual creative reversal, this project began with a purely visual exploration of Malmö's Triangeln square, which ultimately inspired and shaped the accompanying text by journalist Joakim Palmkvist.
- The Concept: Capturing the fleeting, perpetual motion of urban life. Rushing, hasty line work and transparent washes transform the static architecture and moving crowd into a representation of pure transition.
- Visual Storytelling: The artwork entirely dictates the theme and mood of the feature. Sharp illustrative details—from a taut dog leash cutting through the plaza to the glowing blue window of the newsroom in the background—were translated directly into words by the writer.
- Style & Technique: Expressive graphic line art paired with fluid, atmospheric watercolor textures that evoke a sense of speed and momentum.
- Format: Horizontal double-page spread (Print / Web Banner)
